The "sport" of baseball is dying. Maybe the attendance numbers at MLB are up, but its dying. To wit: every grass roots number is down. . little league players. . .ect.. This is HUGE.

Baseball became the "national past time" because virtually every little boy in the country was playing some sort of organized baseball, so that when the grew into adults, every male could relate to the sport they played as youths. . . Heck, even a runt like BobCostas played youth baseball. This is no longer the case. Only a minority of kids play youth baseball and as these non players grow, they have no interest or tie to the baseball on TV. . . Baseball can no longer be called the "national past time". . . . .but the clearest indication that confirms baseball is dying, is that I say it is :)
